I'm going to Olten for a business trip. Flying into Zurich. Can anyone recommend a resort where I can get in a day of snowboarding? I am an intermediate level boarder from upstate New York. I would like to get in some good powder if possible.

Davos, 1 1/2 from Zurich, awesome place a great for boarding.

From Olten it's quickest to get somewhere like Engelberg (Better for freeride) or Klewenalp (Better for intermediates). For those locations you don't need to go through Zurich. Instead you go Luzern and will save quite a bit of time.

Also easily accessible from Olten is Melchsee-Frutt above Sarnen near Lucerne, on a high plateau at 2000 m.
Near Zurich you have got Flumserberg and Toggenburg (Wildhaus, Unterwasser) All are perfect for intermediates, snow conditions permitting !
