Where to stay in Verbier please?

I stayed at Chalet Hotel De Verbier with Inghams a few seasons ago.
Good central location opposite "Le Farinet" top apres ski venue! Reasonable prices for Verbier.
Not sure if they've got single rooms. Otherwise recommended.
Val di Fassa must do ski areas.

Hi,

We are off to Canazei in January for 6 days skiing only.
We have reserved 2 - 3 days skiing for Val Gardena, Arabba / Marmolada and Sella
Ronda. Last season we skied Cortina, Hidden Valley and Alta Badia, so can give it a miss this time.
There are many options away from Sella Ronda for a day's skiing from Canazei:
- Ciampac/Buffaure/Ciampede,
- Carezza/Levante,
- Alpe Di Lusia
- Passo san Pelegrino/Falcade
- Predazzo / Alpe Pampeago.

What are your favourite areas and how practical is it to get there and back using public transport?

Thank you for your advice and enjoy the season ;)

Hi,

We would like to go to Portes du Soleil this winter.
We will travel outside UK school holidays period.
We prefer to fly from London rather then drive.
Our preferred base is Chatel or Avoriaz.
We usually go on package ski holiday, however would like to try DIY this time, especially to Chatel.
Can you please offer some advice on:
-Good, but not too expensive accommodation choices in Chatel
-best airport/airline choice
-resort transfer options.

Many thanks for your help -)

Kind Regards,

Andrew

Hi,

Does it have to be Nosal?
Nosal is very limited.
With 3 children of different age and ability you would be much better off in nearby Bialka Tatrzanska. You will finds ski schools there. Other local alternative is Bukowina Tatrzanska., though Bialka skiing is bigger, more modern and more varied.

Done Sella Ronda Orange route this January and IMHO it is definitely worth it! Agree with GazC about Hidden Valley. The most beautiful run especially if done from Cortina starting at Cinque Torri. No need for a taxi. Horse sleigh tow is only 1 euro pp and a lot of fun :D Snow in Dolomites this season is EPIC!
How I wish I was there  Still off to Alpe d'Huez in 12 days, so cannot complain too much
Can I please go on the list: Alpe d'Huez departing on 22 February :)
