Hi Karen... there are some tips on our Niederau Ski Hire page.
If you've not skied for 18 years ago you'll probably be better off with the "Recreation" option; "Sport" will be slightly more technical skis. The exact models in the Economy (previously Bronze) category will depend on the shop's stock; they'll be easy to ski and less than 3 years old (the Discovery / Silver skis will be no more than 2 years old). They should all be serviced before you collect them so there won't be a great deal of difference for a beginner TBH. HTH, |

Haven't managed to negotiate skis on the wall yet, but our lounge features...
Alaska remains a dream but the other pics take me straight back to deeply-etched Glory Days that will stay with me forever... sweet. |

8) You may mock but we got a free lollipop (each!) for being the first customers of the season in the very nice (and very arty - as in lots of art on the walls) resto near the top of the main gondola in LGB the other week... although there were no chips as the potatoes hadn't arrived... |

Come on - admit it - who is still using old fashioned skis?

If you manage to get a couple of pirates in your ski bag you really will be stung for excess baggage... Wasn't the 9000 the first so-called monococque ski? Think I had a couple of days on some courtesy of Optimum very many years ago... |

Give 'im time - he's not got a roof on it yet... I can see the value of your property being seriously affected by climate change... and what's Ali G doing in your Igloo? 8) |

Ah... you'd not recommend a hotel-room hairdryer and a tumbler stuffed into a pair of ski socks then?   |
