I am considering going to morzine in March 08. What is the nightlife like there? I am not after raving discos, but would like some lively pubs and a few places I could do a bit of dancing and strut my stuff with my girlfriend?

I am booking my first boarding holiday lessons. About 80% of the brochures only offer learn to board for 3 days (6 for skiing.
Why is this? Is it easier to board than ski? Will I be standing around like an idiot after just 3 days not able to do anything? Should I go to a resort where they offer 5 or 6 days instead? |

Dont say that about carving it up....I know I know....
If powder conditions prevail I will have to have a 'quick' blast one afternoon. I have always said that after all this skiing I dont want to spend a week on my @rse! It will be a test of our relationship  |

I am going boarding for the first time in March 2008. I have been skiing for about 15 years.
I am going with my girlfriend, she has never skied (is that teh correct spelling?????) or boarded. All things being equal, which one of us will find learning the easiest? |

Is there any 'nightlife' in La Clusaz, or is it more family orientated?

Is it cheaper to arrange ski school (board) in the UK or directly with the school when you get to resort?
I am looking to arrange my trip and wondering if it is cheaper to buy all elements by myself instead of the package tour :?: Am looking to poss go to France/Italy/Austria Iceman |

I am an established skiier - 15 years. However this year I am going with my partner who has not skied before so we have agreed to cross to the dark side and both learn to board together! Shock Horror I know!
However, where do we go? As we will be begginners I am not fussed about huge linked resorts that I would be if I went on the twin tips. We also have a budget of about £500 p/p. Prob not inc board/pass/lessons etc It is years since I have done it all 'from the begginning'. Is it better to pre-book lessons in UK or arrange when get there or book on a package tour? We are also after a good nightlife. I am not fussed on Hotel/apartment. Open to any other suggestions. Probably not camping though  Any suggestions? |
