The Jump - anyone watching?

Bruce is a bit senile now, but if you a new format, he was the go-to man at one time.

Can't agree he's in the same league of irritation as this bloody woman!

Your're right about Mr Terry Christian of The Word. A Mancunian plonker! (No offence to any Mancs out there!)
Skiing with my sons in Niederau

The run from Auffach to Alpbach is, perhaps, the most interesting of the marked runs in the SkiJuwel area. I loved it....

Davina McCall is, without any risk of contradiction, the most irritating presenter on TV. Without her, it might be just watchable; with her it's more like televisual torture!
I'm looking at the Stubaital for a week at the very end of February and would be grateful for any intelligence/information/tips and views.

I'm particularly interested in the ease, frequency and cost of the bus or tram from Innsbruck railway station to the villages.

Any help, as always, would be much appreciated.

Still don't think I'll be visitng Austria in march though

Watching the snow and temperatures falling, I am tempted by an Austrian trip at the end of Feb/early March. DIY, with free cancellation, just in case!

Don't wish to rub it in, Tone, but snowing heavily across the Tyrol this weekend! Tempted to make a booking very soon...!
Les Menuires - any experience?

I've been to Les Menuires twice - and it has the easiest access to the best skiing in the Three Valleys - La Masse. This is a big mountain with a mixture of steep reds, blacks and off-piste. It's generally quiet and great fun. Easy to hop into the Meribel valley from Les Menuires and to get down to the very beautiful St Martin de Belleville. I think Les Menuires is infitely superior to Val Thorens, which I think hugely over-rated. But each to their own...
A short video I made

All this chitter-chatter and your video makes me want to ski this afternoon! (Stuck in inquests so I can't!)

As for pole dragging, I had the very nasty habit of dropping my right hand on inside of the turn and dragging my pole. This throws the shoulders out with all the dire consequences that has. I have striven to correct the fault by constantly repeating 'drive the bus' and bring my hands forward as if I was clutching a big steering wheel!
