Not Ryanair apparently.

Healthy discussion is encouraged. 'OLeary is a twat so I won't fly Ryanair' comments are not. Neither is 'that's why I drive to the alps' for that matter.

Spoke to someone (a 'carpenter') on the plane on the way back from Calgary in January, his wife is a psychiatric nurse, and they moved out a few years ago. He said their standard of life has increased greatly partly due to the fact his wife now earns 3 times as much for the same job as she did in the UK (but working less hours in Canada). Nothing but good things to say - the government are giving us fewer and fewer reasons to stay in the UK. The new 50% tax bracket will drive most of the big earners away and tax revenues will take a hit.

Might be difficult at £470 but I wouldn't rule out getting a late deal. No doubt someone will come up with some more suitable recommendations.

What is your budget like? If it isn't too much of an issue check out Zermatt.
I'll add it to the Scotland thread.

Probably worth mentioning that this website covers the whole of Scotland.
Last night was... interesting.

Access chair level at Glencoe:

In Glenmore the snow is as deep as 4x4 headlights...

The top of the gondola at Nevis has 5 foot deep drifts.
