Txur - Soldeu has good reputation for snow making too, I think. So I bet you'll be OK.

Couple of the reasonable sized Scandinavian resorts will be open - may not be many pistes open, though, based on past experience

We booked through Ski Safari. Staying v close to bottom of V8 lift in apartment. We are flying into Trondheim on Sunday night. I think that the hire car will be thru Sixt - that's a guess. Driving to resort - we have a car in resort and aim to make use of it!
Bedrock - you may have problems getting anywhere to stay in Trysil if you're thinking of Trysil - nothing at all when we tried to book through Skistar. |

resort due to open at the end of November, so they'll be expecting some snow by 7th December. I went to Soldeu many years ago and I can't remember a lot else to do apart from ski - good for a few beers in the evening, though

No idea what's going to be open. If other years are anything to go by, there won't be that many slopes/lifts open.

Dolomities or any other good slopes in Italy - it must be ski in/out (or almost)

Mrs Dobby was well and truly "bundled" by some nutty French kid on one of the blacks down to the bottom of La Thuile. She ended up in a heap. He ended up in the catch netting.....
