We are looking to ski in the valmorel area at the end of January. Does anyone have any recommendations for places to stay?
We would prefer half board but not really bothered. Thanks |

I agree, I use winter tyres and have a separate set of wheels. Unless they have been banged there is no need to get them balanced each year. So you can just swap them over on your drive. Your normal tyres performance drops off when the temperature drops below +7 degrees, and you will defiantly feel the difference. I didn't even have to use chains last year when others around me were!! Therefore saving the phaff and cold hands..

Saas Fee, is good, there are lots of drags and gondolas, I think there is only one chair and that has a magic carpet and a wind cover, with that down she will feel like she is in a gondola!!

I am going to Les Menuires soon. I have been looking at snow chains for my new car, a 2006 Volvo V50. According to the Volvo website you can't get chains for the size of wheels I have. 215.45.R18
Anyone else had this problem? I have snow socks!! but I know this will not be good enough. |

I have been talked into going to Pfronten with some friends who are beginners. Has any one been there? What's it like?
As a family we normally ski in Saas Fee. |
