This year i managed to get a substantial discount on the Les Arcs lift pass by buying in oct/nov. It was around 100 euros off for the family.

Just wondering if anyone knows if many other resorts offer this kind of promotion?

TowerBridge Andy wrote:Jesus christ you people need to take a look at what you are actually posting. A thread has been created to form an opinion of others regarding the decline of a snowsport and all you have done in MOAN about snowboarding like you own the mountains. To be honest you all have valid points regarding snowboarders sitting down to rest, I have never seen anyone on skis stop to rest in the middle of a run, or carve a decent run in to moguls because they are unable to control their speed correctly.

This is the problem with skiing and snowboarding, everyone seems to think they have a divine right to the mountain as if they own it. News flash you don't, so why not just enjoy your skiing experience like everyone else and stop the negativity towards other forms of sport just because you don't enjoy it/understand it.

Also regarding the images of snowboarders sat under lifts in groups. Strong possibility they are sat at the top of a park run awaiting turn. If you check parks runs today you will find those piles of people are actually weighted towards skiers.

Apologies (monday morning) rant over

Next year i am planning ahead. Well ahead.

This season has been a disappointment for me as i haven't had the chances to ski that i wanted. The plan was New year and Feb.
New year happened and then we decided to move the feb trip to easter and go to spain in feb instead. That fell through because of work and now the spain trip has been moved to easter. And so the season ends without me having my second full week.
The two days in Morzine was great though.

So next year i am planning well ahead.

Jan 11th - ADH, i want to go back here
March - I am deffo going to go on the Crystal Ski Fest next year, i fancy a weeks race training.
And a couple of Morzine weekends again, maybe one before xmas if i can and one in feb.
I just need to get in early on those flights to make it a reasonable cost.

Anyone know what Morzine is like on opening weekend?

One more question..I am going alone to club verseau hotel (coach from london) do you think I'll find people to ski with easily enough?
It's not a question. Of loneliness. But of getting lost haha

I wouldn't worry too much, i managed just fine alone.
