Last summer I skied once or twice a week, every week at the local dry slope.
This year I've not been any where near the place - except for the odd chat. This summer on the other hand shall be mostly spent on our new sailing boat. I'm expecting a great tan this year - from the neck up. Blimey, that is keen  |

Rutland Water gets mentioned a lot on the sailing forums. Supposed to be good there.
Tony, perhaps Kim and I should drag Fanny Chmelar 'Oop North' for a beer and a sail during the summer. |

I'm going to let Tony off. He's from Peterborough. Very inland. He had never seen the sea until he was 32.
 |

Two months ago I would have agreed with you completely - except I wouldn't have liked the cross channel ferry either.
Perhaps I got hit on the head in Sauze or something |

Hopefully more like this This is the same boat - but with people who know what they're doing. |

No plans for racing at the moment. I hear Rule 42 is a popular one!
I'm finding it quite similar to skiing in that it's all about the turns. Going straight is the easy bit. At the moment the sailing is a lot scarier than the skiing though  |

Hello Mike,
It's the XD with the big sail, big gennaka and trapeze. It's scaring the cr*!p out of me at the moment but occasionaly it lifts out of the water and shoots off which is such an amazing sensation. However this is mostly followed by a heart stopper as it suddenly leans back into the wind with both of us still hanging of the side  How did this end up on a skiing forum!?! :D |

Not a falling down photo but a falling down video.
None of me as I was filming! |
