Depends what you want them for. If you want a second set of skis just for playing in the snow park now and again, probably worth a punt.

I think any instruction you can get before hand will accelerate development once you get of snow. Though I'm not a fan of these intensive days just before you go.
What I would recommend is joining a dry slope and going regularly between holidays. I transformed my skiing going once a week for a couple of years. |

It's an easy mistake to make, the entrance isn't particularly obvious.

Only place I've seen one is Verbier, we used the bubble when it was snowing and the chair the rest of the time.

It's not just another black run.

Same in the Norwich store, still a bit early. I'll keep an eye on developments.

The trick is not to think about it for too long because you'll spook yourself if you do. That ledge is a very lonely place when your bottles gone. Spot where your first couple of turns are going to be and drop in. Once you get past the traversed bit at the top it opens up. In truth if you can ski the bits to get to the tunnel then you shouldn't have any problem with the bit after the tunnel.
Thing is you never quite know what you're going to find when you emerge out of the tunnel, I've skied it 6 or 7 times I guess but I don't think two of the runs have been similar in conditions. If it's busy hang back in the tunnel a bit rather than on the ledge. |
