@ Pabs. Mine was definitely nicer than this crummy Alexander McQueen one

I need prescription sunglasses and went into 20:20 Optical on Tottenham Court Road on Saturday to look at some Oakleys. The girly wanted over £300 for the frames including prescription lenses  Needless to say I didn't buy them. I might order from the internet as some sites let you enter your prescription. But I really would prefer to try them on first.

When I was a student back in the 80s (ahem) Icelandic jumpers were all the rage. You knit them on circular kneedles ie the kneedles are joined together, rather than separate ones, and they had fancy patterns around the shoulders and cuffs like the one in Snowb4ndit's ebay photo.
I'd love to resurrect the pattern and knit one for my ski wardrobe. Allie |

Have you looked at this website accorhotels.com
The Accor group owns Ibis, Mercure and Novotel. We have used Ibis a few times. Many are on the outskirts of towns and have restaurants attached. Often they have dedicated family rooms which sleep 4 people or so. You can check prices and availability on the website. We have also used Formule 1 hotels - basic no-frills establishments, but always clean and tidy. Just google Formule 1. Can't recommend an exact location as I've never done that particular route, but there's plenty of people on here who have. Allie |

I mis-read your post and thought you said a Monkeywoman kit. Strange, I thought. Then I read it properly

Free to a good home. A pair of pink ski trousers, size 6-7 years or 122cm. Bought in H&M and worn by my little girl for two ski trips, then she grew out of them. They are in good condition and have been laundered. They have elasticated braces attached for extra hold. These may not be a fancy brand name, but they worked just as well (in fact we have bought the next size up in the same trousers for this year).
If you are beginning skiing and don't want to fork out for gear until you know you like it, these would be ideal. I don't want any money for them and I will pay for the postage within the UK. If anyone is interested, PM me with your details. Allie |
