A few years ago I was laid out with a sciatic problem for about 5 days. As you say, couldn't walk, in absolute agony.
However, it was straight down the back side, nothing in the side region. If it is sciatic, it can go quite quickly. fingers crossed  |

funny you should say that because mr-a and I both got our boots from that shop. I was first, had a fantastic experience with a guy who really seemed to know what he was talking about and I've never had a problem with them. A few months later my other half went on my recommendation. I was a little aware of what was going on and it didn't seem great compared to what I'd experienced, but what do I know?
In resort a few months later, mr-a had a lot of pain. He tried to get them fixed there but to no avail. When we got back we went to the same shop and a lady who seemed to know her stuff spent about an hour and a half fixing his boots at no extra cost. We left the shop very satisfied and he's not had a problem with them since. Moral of the story - it depends who you get  |

Very informative post.
Our experience wasn't like this when it came to the kids but the reason is that we went with Esprit which is a British company totally geared towards the children. I didn't witness what you did but I suppose it just goes to show what a difference it makes who you travel with. Also, it's been four years since I've been there so a lot may have changed (particularly a couple of new lifts which I'm looking forward to trying out). After reading your post I did a bit of searching and have found out that you get one day at Solden on the pass. I didn't know this, thanks for that . Whether we do or not depends on quite a few factors but I'd like to give it a go. |

same chalet  I can't contain my excitement. All packed to pick my sister up tomorrow to take her to the hotel that we're spending three nights at for her wedding. And all packed for Obergurgl. The reality moment for me is when I walk up the stairs and see our four ski jackets sitting on top of the luggage just waiting to be put on to head off.... It's all good :D |

nice one Brimster
I've got two sleeps until I go to the hotel for my sister's wedding then home for one sleep before we fly out to Austria  What I've been waiting for for an age is finally coming... |

we're paying £430pp for a catered chalet in Arabba in March with Neilson which I think's pretty darn good.
I won't tell you how much we're paying for Obergurgl at new year . It was my 40th birthday present though so justified in my opinion  |
