My season hasn't started yet, let alone finished - another month to go until it does!!!

St Anton, like Val D'Isere and Chamonix, is one of the classic resorts that everyone who thinks they are a skier should visit. For all its shortcomings, it's still up there as one of the best in the world.

Seen some forecasts that say much colder and snow at the weekend!

The Tunnel at Alpe D'Huez can get bumpy! The Swiss Wall at Avoriaz is another, Trifji (?) in Zermatt and the steep slope in Verbier, whose name escapes me (is it Mont Fort) has a reputation for being heavily mogulled.

Thank you. I corresponded with Optimum but the result was a little disappointing. They wanted to charge the same price for three days' group lessons as they normally do for five days! I didn't think that was right or reasonable. Happily, the Swiss Ski School are prepared to charge by the day and look like the solution.
