Feel pretty educated now, so no longer stressing about if there's enough or the quality of the runs! I dont mind skiing the same few runs as long as they are decent enough, and like someone else said no 2 runs are ever the same, different lines/angles, bumps & tree's can make anything interesting. My main concern was everywhere that i looked had it down as a beginners only resort, but after reading all your comments i now that that is not the case, and if i do get bored of what the Wildschönau has to offer i can easily do a day or two at Hopfgarten or even poss Soll! Think it makes sense for me and 2/3 of the others to look at lift passes for the skiwelt and the begginers to play it by ear. But i am very happy now that we have booked up the right resort for our group! Last question, if the none skiier of the group wants to get on the gondola and maybe meet us up the mountain for lunch what are our options and will they need a lift pass??

Finn wrote:The race & board arena is open to all but is often closed to the general public for two to three hours a day to allow local club racers etc to train. Bode Millar, Kalle Pallender, Killian Albreit & other international ski racers have been known to use the arena in preparation for Kitzbhule racing. If visiting 'N' in early January keep a look out when riding the lift, you never know who you might be sharing the 'T' bar with.

 Sweet but if i was to bump in to Bode, fingers crossed it would be at the bar! )

Anyone been on the race n board arena before, have only just noticed it, it looks a lot of fun!, also have read there's night time skiing/sledging on one of the runs? Anyone been there/done it? Would you recommend. Cheers.

Thanks, makes sense what you say about lift pass and ski school so will look further into and pass what you have said on to the others. Wasn't being sexist at all, the girls themselves have already mentioned that they might like a day or two off to chill, plus we have a none skiier in the group so they will Prob want to keep them company. Are you still instructing Dave? Agree 100% about the fun to be had and meeting others at ski school, but as a mixed group we would like to ski together

Nice one, We could have brought the lift pass through Crystal but wasnt sure whether or not it was good value, especially if we do a day or two elsewhere which means purchasing another pass. Plus the girls in the group might not ski every single day so didnt make sense buying a 6 day lift pass. (Will prob end up doing it on a pay as we go basis, asuming this wouldnt be to hard?).
Had read lots of good things about the ski schools. Not sure that the begginers in the group really want to sign up for a whole week of ski school - maybe just a couple of individual days. Do you think they could hire an instructor for a private leasson for a day or two to teach them in their own small group? Was a bit worried about the snow conditions but seems i needn't be. (Dave have you skied N in March before?) Thanks again!

Cheers Dave, very happy with your answers and can not wait to get out there!! My mate booked up in a hurry because the rooms were selling fast and the price was right! I think we have found the perfect place tho, for a mixed group of begginers and experienced skiiers! What would you suggest lift pass wise(for us experienced skiiers??) Glad to here you might be out there at the same time cause theres a beer or 3 in this for you!! Also i like the way you ski and would love a go on that speed trap! Seriously gratefull for your help!
