Also sad to hear a 12 year old broke there leg on the nursery slope (Wednesday i think) apparently there where 3 accidents on the slope in one day! I had skied it 1st thing with the begginers in our group practicing before ski school. It was pure ice due to the sun from the day before then re freezing, put 2 of the group of skiing that day, surprised it was open to be honest.

Back last night from a great week in Niederau was to knackered to type last night. The snow held up for us despite the heat and we even had some fresh stuff Thursday and Friday! Unfortunately we didnt bump in to Mac so still owe him a beer for all his help and info. All 8 of the group had a fantastic Holiday and enjoyed everything that N had to offer, all the beginners loved the ski school(red) and couldnt praise there instructors more Gunther, Konrad and Marcus all come highly recommended. The learners had 3 days of school then they skied together practising what they had learnt on the blue and reds in N. Myself and the other 2 more experienced skier/boarder had 2 days in N, followed by 2 days in Auffach and then Thursday and Friday in the SkiWelt getting the free bus to Hopfgarten (Buses to Auffach and Hopfgarten less than 15 mins each way). We had a blast and got plenty of skiing in and found N a great base to go back and meet the others at the end of a days skiing. We all skied together on the friday and the 3 beginners managed a red run on the SkiWelt (might have told them it was a Blue 8)) Most of the Apres was consumed in the bar nearest to the bottom Gondola station. Didnt notice its name but had the mad Dutch couple running it, also would meet the others from their lessons at BoBo's. Didnt get in Gunthers due to literally not being albe to squeeze the 8 of us through the door, it was always packed! He was my girlfriends instructor and nagged her daily for not popping in, (think she was his star pupil )) The Hotel Sonnschein was perfect, good food great rooms and a lovely atmosphere, the pool/spa was spot on. The cave bar and o'malleys were good for a few beers after dinner. We all enjoyed N, none of us found it limited or too small and the people and instructors were all very helpful and friendly (we would def go back). Also couldnt believe after paying 78 Euro's for 9 beers in France 3 weeks ago, what good value Austria was - paying an average of 20-25 Euro's for 8 drinks at the bar!! And could even get lunch on the mountain for the same price that i had brought a Mars bar and bottle of Fanta in france for - 8 Euro's!!! cheers for all the help and info people....
