Hi Bandit,

Just checked Inghams website and current brochure and it looks like they no longer go to CM

I suggest defecting to Switzerland. Crans Montana may suit your needs with several long gondolas, plenty of tree lined runs, abundant blues and a sunny aspect for those chilly early January days.

Hi Bandit,

I am having a secong thought about Crans Montana.
Which tour operators offer package holidays there?

Some good deals to be had with ski miquel.

Tony,

Thanks for Ski Miquel link :-).
Good to have a choice of operators.
I've heard that off-piste there is not bad too.

Hi Ian,

If neither Austria nor Zermatt tick your boxes should I assume that you favour some of the French resorts?
Why?

Expect Verbier levels of pricing!

I am jealous already.
A friend of mine who visits Zermatt every year at least once keeps telling me that Zermatt skiing experience is special, with no parallel anywhere else.
If that is true then I can accept the high prices.

Can you feel the pull of the Matterhorn? It's quite irresistable I think 8)

The picture says it all! :!:

Hi,
I just had a nice conversation this morning at our Saturday school with a modern language teacher whose wife is Austrian.

He recommended Ski Amade region, with Schladming and Ramsau areas being his favourite. Apparently not overpriced, not overcrowded and very pretty.
There is a good glacier near Ramsau too.
Any visitors to this region out there?
