Today's weather update. Although there has been some snow overnight, it is still only a dusting coming down towards the valley and it is quite wet.
HOWEVER higher up in the resort stations there seems to be a few cm's now with more forecast for the next few days. At the top this should start to give a base that is needed to allow at least a few pistes to be prepared for the opening weekend. We must just keep our fingers crossed that it now stays cold. Take a look at the webcams listed in an earlier post. It is at least starting to look white around the mountains now. If you do not have the links to the web cams. Come and 'like' my Les Arcs Winter facebook page and join the group. Daily updates will now be posted as the season is about to begin. Click on the facebook link below. I will also be posting a summary of the updates here in the evenings. Now I have a question to anyone. How do I post pictures direct to this thread? If you can explain it to me in a simple way, I will try to add pics sometimes if it can be done direct. |

Hi everyone, for those interested in news of the new Mont Blanc Chair in Arc 1600. They have been running the safety tests and all looks well. The chair is now almost finished. The Cachette Chair now has the entrance on the opposite side facing away from this lift to encourage all those from the Funi to use the new lift. Interesting idea.
Now this is finished. Please let it snow. If you want to see the photos, please go to my 'Les Arcs Winter' facebook page, link below. Thanks to the man with the dogs for the photos and info. |

Good news, the Les Arcs ski pass office is now selling all types of ski passes, not just the pre-season sales anymore.
REMEMBER if you are based in Bourg or coming buy train, you can arrange to collect your ski pass from the funicular ski pass office if you do not already have an on-line rechargable one. This will save you the cost of the funicular up the mountain, but make sure you arrive before the lift pass office closes at about 5 - 6pm most days (will post exact times when I get them). To order your ski pass online go to the Les Arcs link. http://lesarcs.paradiski.com/ |

We are having our New Year's Eve Dinner there again this year. Always good value for money, but can be a little slow so make sure you have plenty of time if you are eating and using the bar.
