This is the helmet thread so discuss and get heated as much as you like as long as it is constructive.. I wear a lid, as my Sig says and am proud. If I was a beginner, not because if me but again if others
I can control my behavior but others I can't. I can't control others smacking me on the head with a safety bar in the lift. But then again that only started happening when I wore a lid, common denominator? Lids are also fashionable, there is no getting away from it. Just many of the lidders won't accept it I wear because I want to feel safer. Nothing to do with who knows rules if the piste. We all know the speed limit on a motorway is 70mph, but a hell of a lot of people don't obey it..... |

But pav. Your bit about not thinking about it and letting your brain take over is not strictly true.
When a young child starts to walk it looks at its feet and concentrates on them. Exactly what skiers Di when they are not comfortable, takes a long time, pain, embarrassment to get past this stage |

Cheers for that, I hate gondolas as it is! In my head, there is a massive rush at the start to get 4 people in with rucksack and H then the ski/board on the outside. I spend the whole journey convinced that my skis will fall out, esp when go over the pylons! I go not enjoy them
The cable cars I am ok with. Unless I think of the James bond film when they all got stuck Give me a drag lift any day....... |
