Where to ski in march?
Started by User in Ski Chatter, 11 Replies
Paulaski,
I'm really sorry to hear about your hand

How disappointing for you. It might be a good idea to wait until March, see where the best snow is, and book a last minute cheap deal. Other than than that, I suppose any high, possibly glacial resort would do - like Val Thorens, Saas Fee, Tignes etc.

I went ski-ing at the end of March once, at Easter, in La Rosiere, and there was masses of snow (more like late January the ski instructors said). I'd say it's impossible to predict which resort will have the best snow late in the season.

Best of luck with your hand - I hope it heals well and you get a substitute holiday in March :D

3 weeks and 6 lbs.

I really hope the snow improves for all of us, wherever we're going (N's and non N's) :D

I did a disc clean up (or whatever it's called) and all is now back to normal :D

What did you do Ally get the furniture polish out :D

Well, as you know Ian, cleaning is my forte

Are we back to wibbling again now, then? Are you sure Admin's safely out the way training his new serveur?

Ian,
I'm not going to Niederau in 3 weeks

Seriously though, I diagnose you as suffering from the post ski-ing blues - main symptom - a very strong desire to book another ski holiday as soon as possible :D

I did try to persuade Snapzzz to start a support thread for patients suffering from this disorder, which is very common at this time of year :D

I will be needing some support for this myself in about 4 weeks time

Anyway, I hope you have a lovely time choosing a resort for your next 'fix'.

Hi Sm4sh,
When I skied there I wore my normal ski clothes minus my thermals, neckwarmer, and goggles, but I suppose it depends how insulated your ski trousers and jacket are. I felt about right (there's no wind of course, which makes a big difference).

Best of luck. I hope you have a great time :D

What I did was clear my browser cache (get rid of all the old internet files) which seems to have worked for me.
Depending on which browser you use how you do this varies, so just google clear browser cache (browser name) and you will find it is really quite simple.

Thanks very much Old Andy :D

Admin,
I'm afraid the new servers seem to be producing problems for my computer

I have a list of old threads under 'latest ski chat' at the bottom of the page, and I can only get the current chat by choosing a forum at the top of the page.

Niederau info.....

Thanks very much Dave :D

That's exactly what everyone wanted to know - about the free buses to the Skiwelt area starting in Hopfgarten.

So, if I ever go to Niederau it looks as though I'll be staying in the Sonnschein or Harfenwirt.

I guess the thing to do would be to buy a 4 day pass for the Niederau area and 2 days for the Skiwelt.
