I would never call anyone stupid. I was merely asking why you were waiting for transfers. Didnt know where you were going or if it was organised etc. I never consider getting a bus or train transfer from any airport no matter where we go coz it is a nightmare with the wingy tired kids and all the luggage. And shouldnt you be in bed? lol or are you too excited? was glenshee good?

why have you got to wait so long for the transfer? are you on about the transfer from airport to your hotel? how are you getting there?

Just out of interest I just thought i would let you know that if you go through www.quidco.com you will get 14% (at Direct Travel) of the total policy back in cash.

I use this cashback site quite a lot, especially for xmas presents and always check if i am buying online. Especially with More than I offer to get all family members policies on the net and go through quidco to get the cash back sometimes it is £75.

anyway its not a sales pitch but thought it might be of interest to consider. After all its better in your pocket than the company and last year I got £300 cash back just through clicking through their website.

So am I right in saying I havent got steel wheels? and this doesnt affect me?
Sounds like I should just follow the crowds then eh? lol. Anyway that is hoping that the kids still have some energy after ski school but then again my oldest is hyper so cant see him being worn out! lol
well just to reiterate (by the way I havent a clue what a steel wheel is....is that alloy?) My tyres are 205/60/15 and are hardly low profile or performance. So I am hoping that as long as the chains I order actually fit the tyre and clear the wheel arch that they should be ok.

But fingers crossed if worse comes to worse we will leave the car at worgl and get a taxi. (if the chains are no good).

Can you actually go 70mph with snow chains on? I wouldnt have thought you would want to go that fast with snow chains on if the roads are bad? or is that just me?

Hi Caron

Glad you had a great time. Great pics. Glad your knees held up for you.
I cant wait to get there.....3 weeks tomorrow

Karen
thanks for the responses....didnt mean to start a heated debate.

We havent got winter tyres on the car, nor do I intend to buy winter tyres for just 1 week of driving, in fact do they actually sell them in the uk? i have never been asked by the tyre shop if i want winter or summer tyres.

My main concern is that we dont get stuck in the snow. We dont intend to drive the car other than from Amsterdam to Niederau and then park it and start it back up 1 week later for the return journey. we will not be taking it anywhere else! not even within Niederau. So I will buy my cheap snow chains and hope they fit if needed. although from what I have read, and what we will be using them for I am hoping we will not be needing to get them out the box.
