Christmas horror story

This happened in Austria in the seventies. On that day, the chairs were well loaded, and unfortunatly, many people were hurt. Several skiers took their chance, and jumped off the chairlift, and these people were unhurt.

I think you will find that you have booked a good one. The hotel owner is Gill Thaler, and it is a very nice place. It is a couple of hundred yards up to the slopes. Hence I suggest that when you go to collect your rental skis, you ask if they can provide ski storage each night. The hire place is close to the beginner slopes, and to the Gondola.

Since it is Thomsons, you are more than likely to be with the red ski school, rated very highly in Tirol. If you have any issues, talk to the instructor, or to the ski school. If your class gets to go up the Gondola, well and good. If not, it would be worth the effort to go up and down in the Gondola, enjoy the views over the Kitzbuhler Alps, and have a drink in Rudis bar.

Gill's husband, Herbert, runs the Harfenwirt, and Herbert's sister, Maria runs the Bichlwirt~ you should try and visit the Bichl, and try to get to one of Herbert's Harp sessions. The Irish bar O'malleys has live music.

I think you will find, as Tony has suggested, your transport to Niederau is included, so just check your documents.

Yes, Wickers is the man in the know, about all things Ryanair :D

I'm looking for cover, behind the Christmas tree. There is little in life that frightens me, but Wickers in full Ryanairrage.......you just don't want to go there.

Hi Billip, a warm welcome to J2ski.

What date are you going? Where are you staying, and which tour operator have you booked with? That way, I will guess the ski school.

If I know these, I may be able to assist with specific info.

Have you hired skis yet? (If you need to do that)

I will be there in January, but my time is curtailed, since I am being forced to go to the Arlberg. )

And if you are in the Bichlwirt on January 18th.....

Merry Xmas and new year

On the last run of the day, when the group is cold, and getting tired, this is a time when accidents can happen. This is the one run of the day, when the best skier waits, and sets off last.

Find out from the lift company, the phone number to call, in the event there is an accident, and put the number in your mobile.
