You cannot ski from Saas Fee to Zermatt. Most of the T/Os organise one or two minibus day trips. Takes about an hour, and you do have to choose one of the peaks, as you only have about 5/6 hours. If you want a taste of Zermatt, I suggest it is worth it. Also, suggest you take the bus to Saas Grund, it's interesting ~ skiing alongside the walls of the glacier. |

Trencher, surely that would just make the skis more desirable? ![]() I mean, they have all the attributes ~ ~ 210 long, straight as a die ~ latch-up bindings, guys with cable bindings drooled.... ~ retainer straps ~ the best provenance ~ a 26 year ski life ahead of them Even now, I cannot help but wonder why they weren't nicked. |

That is pretty unfortunate, PSC. Hope you can get things sorted as quickly as possible.
The usual plaster cast imobilisation seems to be around 6 weeks, but I guess this rather depends on the nature and extent of the injury. Then you are likely to need some weeks of physio. My OH was skiing after about three and a half weeks after the cast was removed, albeit, she put up with a deal of pain. (Soon sorted with appropriate administrations of gluwein!) However, all injuies, and repairs are different. It is more important to get the injury fixed properly. Good Luck! |
