iPhone app La Plagne uses location services, will it use lots of data?

It won't cost you a penny. You only need gps switched on not data. Switch off wifi too as switched on it will keep looking for a signal using up battery power.
Most of these apps have an option to download a hi res piste map, do that via wifi before you go. I'll be using the La Plagne one in March. Used the 3V one last year. |

I skied the face the day after race day a couple of years ago, at no point did I feel in control. I'd love to try it on race prepared skis, on my all mountain skis with fairly blunt edges it was horrific! Looked even worse today. |

Super G down the face anyone?

If you are serious about your skiing and will be going every year, then have a rethink on buying your own boots. A properly fitted pair will make a big difference to your skiing. You'll get more value for money out of them than just about any other ski item.

We'll give it a week, if nothing arrives we'll get a dance organised. Just remember the rules, we don't want a repeat of 2010.

Get a couple of these. At £1.65 they aren't going to break the bank!
