Ah, sorry, I thought you were being ironic

Does, "whose trousers fit" mean that your trousers fit, or that you are a pants boarder?
I was under the impression that boarders' needed baggy pants, a chunky studded belt and some southern cleavage on display :?:

Bandit,

Looking at some of your postings, in reply to Tino's, I think you would LIKE him to have his arse hanging out????!!!!!!!

MAybe just an impression though. )

Tony_H is actually in the process of launching a ski (not board, I don't think) magazine aimed at newbies and early intermediates. He's got some good ideas and hopefully it will go well.

The picture below was taken just prior to the one the Jan posted. As you can see it was clearly me producing those magnificent tracks.

At the time Jan was busy pratting around with some sticks.

In the background is my mystery ski coach casting his expert eye.

That, folks, is GENIUS.

When I took this photo I thought - "I wonder what feedback I would get if I posted this on J2Ski?"

I didn't because I wasn't sure (or confident enough) in the community. However I think it would be an amazing development!

Now should I start with ellistine's Avitar or Mr Admin's for that matter ... ;)

Seriously, I think Mr Admin should consider your suggestion :P

Now back to (my) skiing, do you think I over pressured that last turn?

Jan

Jan - all you needed to do was go back and put the gates in position, JUST inside your arcs and hey presto!! You're a "good skier"

I know exactly what you mean, Keith.

For me its great to find several good reds in a resort and try to ski them better as the holiday progresses, until I feel I'm skiing them quickly, directly and hopefully still with a bit of style too!

As long as I've ski-d enough each dayI feel I've accomplished more, like this, rather than thrashing round everywhere on the map.

We're all different though...

Thanks Jan, that's really helpful.

I've looked at the resort details aagain and quite fancy it, contrary to what Tony weas suggesting. To "do" it all in two days would be a colossal effort and would mean skiing each slope only once. In fact I don't think it possible to cover all the terrain in two days. Its nice to stop, enjoy the surroundings and ski the best runs a few times anyway. Just my opinion.

You make an interesting point though and it sort of begs a question as to what is a skiing holiday about - the "skiing" bit anyway?

Do you look to cover every run, on the whole area pass? Do you head for your favourite slopes and ski them repeatedly? Do you just stay on piste?
et. etc.

Its potentially an interesting one.

The purpose of a trip to Pila would be for my gf to put her good technique
into practise and not worry about difficult reds and over-crowded slopes, which are a couple of stumbling blocks at present.
Although I am a much more experieinced and aggressive skier than her, it looks to have more than enough for me as well (especially under the circumstances of going more at her pace) and could therefore be an excellent choice for us both.
