Or the infamous Foehn but seriously.. the chances of it disappearing are probably very close to nil.

A preference for fast skiing is going to suggest you will need something on the stiffer side of the scale (especially at nearly 12 stone).. usually termed as 'piste performance' or similar and there is plenty out there.
Think Salomon Aero GT as a starting point, the 172 has a 16.9m radius so would lend itself well to longer turns and be relatively stable at speed. Do you have a snowdome nearby where you can try out some skis? Sometimes the best thing to do is go to a demo armed with a list of skis to try and pick the pair you like the most. How much do you really trust the internet? 8) |

If you don't mind, why the requirement for soft and bendy?
Not stiff does not necessarily mean soft and bendy.. there are a huge range of different flexes out there from ridiculously soft and bendy (see k2 silencer) right up to super stiff (stock race skis) and everything in the middle! What do you like to ski? |

How heavy are you? One mans soft and bendy might not be a Wickhams soft and bendy...

It is not too late for Europe but I would say head to North America anyway (especially if you haven't been before).
I have only been to a handful of places in Canada (Rockies/Monashees) and would suggest Banff as the base for your holiday... this will give you access to the two resorts with the longest (non-glacial) skiing in Canada; Sunshine Village and Lake Louise. If you want any more info give me a shout or post here. |

It is getting warm but probably not warm enough for you to be concerned!
Generally this means that the snow will soften a little over the course of the day and get hard when it really cools down over night.. rinse repeat. Personally I love the soft snow created by warmer temperatures and would take it over hard packed pistes at higher levels. |
