Hi snowmusic,
Need a but more information for good recommendations, when are you planning on going, do you want loads of apres ski. Do you want a big area to explore, want off piste, how long a transfer you prepared to have, etc etc The more info you give the more chance someone giving you a great recommendation. For me it also affected by where I live and the rubbish number of flights to decent destinations from my local airport for example |

Hi broom,
Sorry to hear of your injury, could I suggest you try a session in an indoor ski centre. Even if you have to travel some distance it will be cheaper than booking holiday and finding on the first day you not capable of skiing. Good luck! |

Lack of snow during the summer olympics? |

Of course you can!:-)
It can get busy and make sure you look out for info regarding high winds on some of the passes as they can close vital lifts. I'm not the fastest skier but I managed to complete it in both directions in one day! |

Was in arabba last two years with completely different snow levels and did not really notice much difference. Historically they can have low snow levels so they seem to look after what they get a lot better than other snow sure resorts I have been to. |

Stayed in arabba, great base for the Sella Ronda and close to the glacier to get there before the rush on a good weather day.
Small village atmosphere and limited night life, only two pubs but most hotels have bars that you are made welcome. Not the best resort for beginners, home runs a bit steep but for intermediates and above a great base for exploring |
