Came back from arabba at the weekendand it was fantastic!
1200Km of pistes and although not the same levels of snow as other places in Europe conditions where very good. Travelled with inghams and bought their intermediate pack; equipment, lift pass and 3 days 3 hours lessons. Found out that the times of lessons where 11 to 1.did not fancy losing 3 days exploring the vast area by having to stay close to home for the lesson so asked ski school if we could change group lessons to a few hours private which they agreed! 3 1 hour lesions with the same instructor, Monday Wednesday and Friday 845 to 945. The great thing was instructor gave us specific exercises to practise between lessons but also we had all day to ski. He also have us great tips of areas to ski and to travel to places where we would normally not think we could get back from in time technique has vastly improved and over the moon with the steps up we achieved. The dolomites are a stunning place to go and would recommend it to any intermediate / advanced skier but maybe not beginner especially arabba as the home runs are all tough ones |

Guess if legit, they maybe can't afford abta, which will put people off but until they are more successful they can't do it.catch 22 situation.if the offer is amazinggo for it but maybe get extra insurance.
Old phrase if its too good to be true it normally isn't. Is saving a few pounds worth it for a holiday. |

Hotly debated subject.for me its a personnel choice, others think they should be mandatory and everyone should wear them.more and more people wear them and they keep your head warmer but for me will stick to the Bobble hat

There's been loads of different threads about buying boots and pros and cons buying in resort.
Make sure the shop you choose is not busy when you go in. hopefully someone can come along with a recommendation of a good fitter. You need to have a long chat with the fitter about your skiing and expectations, if he offers you more than two pairs of boots after he/she assesses your feet walk out! My biggest fear would be needing adjusting after you left remembering your boots can take a few Weeks to bed in even with the mouldings that now the norm. Hope my humble opinions help. |

Driving standards vary so much, it at times is very scary.during a mid life crises seriously thought of getting a bike licence until I remembered if drivers can't see the six foot wide yellow vehicle with flashing lights and a siren what chance has a motorbike.
So often you hear "you don't learn to drive until you pass your test". The stats of Young recently passed drivers for accidents are not a pretty read and I don't think they are given the skills to drive but given the skills to pass the test and the two are not the same. The cost of learning to drive and applying for licences is ridiculous but at the same time you hear of people travelling to Briton because the driving tests to get a full licence is easier than there home European country |
