I got re-trained to drive a few years back on a emergency driving course whilst working for the ambulance service. Previous to this I thought I was a competent driver and having my licence for over a decade, no crashes and no points.
One thing that was evident in the group of twenty on the course was nobody had never been taught how to safely overtake another vehicle other than dual carriageway. Last year whilst on holiday in high land of Scotland on the windy a Roads over took 12 cars and the caravan that was holding them up in one manoeuvre.not bragging or being big headed but I could see it was safe to do so and the positioning of my car correct at all times. Lots of horns and flashing lights as if I was being dangerous but it wasn't. I would say im a more cautious driver now than I was before the course however my skills are so much higher. It might be a case that the local drivers are looking further down the road then others very often you can see the next switch back or they might just be mental! |

The situation that annoys me is you stop for lunch its blowing a blizzard and its minus 20. myself and a few other foolish outside smoking its ok everybody warm inside.the next day nice and sunny everybody now outside having there lunch.so where does the smoker go now. As a smoker it has always annoyed myself if whilst eating someone nearby is smoking and try too be sympathethic to others but it can be impossible on a busy veranda.and on occasions had families come and share the table and then complain if I light a cigarette. I leave the pack on the table for a reason in plain sightfor a reason

if you were to book now I would suggest mayhofen. With free bus to glacier and other areas all covered by your lift pass. Obergurgl snow sure but not many bars in the village.if you can hold out and see what deals you can get and be as flexible as you can. Soll I would recommend but can run out of snow. But it also can good levels. That's where booking late and being open minded to all resorts

kids holiday around that time.would suggest some where high with a glacier but if you prepared to travel to heathrow or Gatwick I would suggest hanging on and getting a late deal and you can pick and choose where you going. Maybe going to an area you would normally avoid due to low altitude but had a good dump of snow a week before you go.I live in the north east and that does not work for me and trying to get a flight out of Newcastle can be a nightmare
