Any suggestion on shockproof/waterproof compact cameras for taking skiing folks ?

My trusty old Cannon seems to have given up the ghost after 5 years and was gutted not to get some pics during our two sunny days skiing in La Clusaz last week.

How reliable are the flights into Innsbruck and also the road links then between there and Alta Badia ? I generally go there once a year but have always flown into Venice till now. Might be interested in trying a different route in next winter (we are driving over from Austria to Pedraces this coming summer but i guess the roads will be very different in come january compared to june!).

Mmm reminds me of Sofia 31/12/08 cancelled Easyjet flight when i had 3 kids in tow. But that is indeed another story....

And the snow conditions are brilliant right now - I just got back yesterday.

TBH Tony I'd usually have been a wee bit more cantakerous than I was, but since I was on a very tight schedule heading home early for a funeral later in the morning I just wanted to get on the plane at that point.
