Rose, it may be that the Germany/Newcastle/Devon logistics may be an issue. |

Salski, where were you in the Lakes? |

Tino, we went camping in Glencoe with our lads, when they were much the same age. The closest site is the Red Squirrel. It is a busy site, mixed caravans, tents and motor bikes. Not the quietest site I have been on. However, the biggest issue is the Midgies. These little beggars crawl over every square inch of bare flesh, instant itch. We bailed out a day early. Having said that, I have suffered midgies in the Torridons, and when walking the West Highland Way.
Hey, the WHW would make a good week. The Lakes offer a huge variety of options. And there appears to be a good number of climbing schools. Most of the climbing is in the Langdales, where there is a camp site near to the Dungeon Ghyll. Although the climbing is good, the walking is also great. On my last Lake District visit I spent the week painting, with a group of like minded folk. Our Guide dog trainee spent the week eating sheep sh*t! |

What was it like Trencher? |

That has lifted my heart, Pablo, no lack of ambition in this man. No moaning about the size of resort, he sees benefits in everything he does. Super guy.
Two of the old Niederau instructors were in their eighties, and both still teaching. One Austrian, one Scot. The Scot taught in a number of other resorts, and I think he ended up in Westendorf, before he retired back home at the age of eighty-two. Glad I use the sun block though! |

Thanks Tino, I managed 3 minutes, but I did like the couple of guys who appeared thro the tree branches. I did that a couple of times myself, I just didn't plan to! |

It does look like engine/machine oil, but not thick black stuff, as in old engine oil.

I have managed to get some kind of oil mark on the front of my ski jacket. Any of the aforementioned preparations good for removing oil stains?
