Free Beginners

Hi Rusty, long time no ski! I wonder if rather than focussing on the free beginner element, that you look at total bottom line. eg, for a group, you may be offered free places, a number of free lift passes, a ski school block booking.
Availability will be a key issue, along with flight slots. Many ops now offer beginner packages.

I'm afraid I am not a fan of what is on offer. I will, however, travel anywhere for a Thrappledouser.

Snowed 4" on Sunday.

Still trying to negotiate with Mrs Mac for a day at Cairngorm. The price of 6 weeks skiing in winter is a collosal list of "Things that must be done by ....."

Better, and much cheaper, than skiing in a snowdome?

Thanks for the vela site, SwBp, although this is aimed at company level. It does show a good analytical approach.

Brucie, I was using Aly's payback time.
For domestic installations, the payback is a) £1000/year for a £12k investment, Dr Steve Reynolds, Dundee Uni, b) £950/year for a £14k investment, Sunday Times Money section, last week. The feed-in tariff is index linked, and tax free. When you factor in these, the payback period falls.
