The whole Grand Massif will still be open, and the skiing still very good. Les Carroz has great slopes for developing intermediates and excellent tuition for beginners.

or carry on a bit through the tunnel to the Aosta Valley for Pila, Cormayeur, La Thuile all of which are quite hugh and still have bags of snow

I went to passo a few years ago very short runs a real up and down place, we spent most of our time there down the road at Ponti legno where the runs are a tad harder so it is not a place for Intermediates and above unless you don't mind jumping on the bus down the valley to Madonna, I found the hotel we stayed in to be very good.

Thanks Wickers....I have been before and totally agree....but as it is free!!!! it seemed foolish to turn it down...Not looking forward to the coach journey though! :(

Where to go in Italy

La Thuile is good...long cruisy blues and reds, quiet...can ski over to La Rosiere on the same pass plus 2 days in Aosta Valley for Pila/Cormayeur etc. Easy to get transfers from either Geneva or Turin so Easyjet travel OK.
Planibel complex with 4 star hotel or apartments is 40 mtrs from gondola/lifts.
End to ski hosting in France

"In the UK we do not require UK only instructors to guide people in our hills but we do hope they have a good knowledge of the area."

BEM, you managed to perfectly contradict yourself. If effect your above statement is completely in agreement with the French law. There are no rules on nationality, only qualifications required. BASI 3 or above and or international mountain guide.

BUT ...why do you need to be qualified...AS AN INSTRUCTOR...It is nonsense!
