I am so impressed with all of you that are having surgury to allow you to ski again. The dedication required to get fit after it is something that at my age I cannot quite contemplate. The trouble is as one thing mends another breaks down and I would spend 99% of my time either under the knife or getting fit. Guess I will live with all the knocks I now get and learn to ski with a little more care to extend the time I have left on the slopes -)

I think this is following a previous thread...when (and is) a ski host an instructor?....Many on this forum have their views....French instructors and French people tend to agree with this (French) law the other 69000 tend to disagree. When the French follow all the EU laws set out...I think it has been shown they are the least likely nation to heed EU legislation unless it is to their advantage then perhaps I may listen...till then I'm holidaying in Italy, Austria,Switzerland and anywhere other than France that has snow....And curiously I like the French!! -) |

Try Bialka and Kaprowky Weich and base yourself at Zakopane. It is a lovely town but must say the skiing is not joined. However you can have a good day each at the above resorts but if you are a reasonable skier you will struggle to get a week as the runs are limited. But if you are in the area!!
