Live coverage coming up of the men's downhill from Bormio Italy.
Can recommend this http://www.skiworld.co.uk/ski-resorts/france-ski-holidays/meribel/natalia-ii
Stayed there last January.
Right in the centre of 3Vs, next door to the ski shop and very close to the piste.
A snowboarder has been killed in Jackson Hole Wyoming too. A local, found quickly but couldn't be saved.

Freezing level is supposed to be at around the height of the town, so you should find it snowing halfway up the first lift.

In similar conditions the Face is much harder.
After new snow it might be a day or two before they piste the top of the Sarenne so just beware if you find soft snow a challenge.

Hi AndyHull

How long do you think it would take for a cautious intermediate to ski the Sarenne. Not particularly fit so would need stops.

Depends on conditions, but you should be able to do it in 45 minutes, perhaps an hour if there is a bit of soft snow to negotiate at the top.
A fantastic run away from the lifts, enjoy.
