I taught myself to snowboard on a dry slope. It isn't much fun but it is a good way of getting started IMO.
Are we allowed opinions here any more? |

FNO? Sometimes it is a bit 'yawn especially when a valid comment is made and someone rolls round and gives it a one star. Not that it really counts for anything but looks daft.. surely some of my 1500 or so posts have been useful?
I got caught today when a small slab went about half a metre deep and the size of the wall in a decent sized living room. Scared the absolute sh*t out of me but luckily I was just above a piste and it stopped there. (Slid out onto a cat track off about a 45 degree pitch). Had it been on a longer slope it could have been a lot more sinister. Felt better that I was wearing a tracker despite skiing in bounds today. Avvy danger was 'only' 3. In all fairness I did ride it out despite being caught in the middle of it 8) Don't think I have ever been so pumped up/scared. |

To whoever one starred my post.. I was serious. Here it is cheap and there are no drag lifts. I don't understand what I said that was deserving of such a rating.
