For my first forage of the winter, Wickers is correct. Our wee village group wants to go straight after Christmas, from Edinburgh, and be there over New Year. All the TOs offered Tuesday~Tuesday, (our teacher friend has to be back by Monday). Even then, by going Easyjet/traintaxi/direct HB booking, we were ulti-percento below the TO.
And we get to stay in a really interesting place. |

Would agree with the Saas Grud suggestion for intermediate level. On the blue run you ski right alongside the Glacier wall.

Sounds like top moves for both of you. SnowB4, thats as close to a ski instructors job as you can get. I'm skiing, and they are paying me for it!
Tino, great location! Hope the contract is long term. Of course you don't have to stay in Visp. Somewhere a little closer to the slopes? With extra rooms? For sure you will manage your 60 days snow target, and save a fortune on rail fares. How much a Zermatt season pass? |

Keep the sun on your right cheek, Ian, (on the way there), and yodel if you get stuck. Nothing will happen, but you will feel better.
On the transfer, I should add that I have been from Soell down into Brixen, and from Kirchberg over to KitZ, but I haven't done the link. The Gondolas are fairly new. |

Good question Charlie. Season before last, Admin & I skied from Hopfgarten to Going in a couple of hours, managing to get lost twice, (it is the world's worst piste map!)
From Soell, up the Hohe Slve, ski down, up the Zinsberg, down the Filzalm to Brixen. Gondola to Westendorf, Gondola to Kirchberg, Ski over to the Hahnenkamm. Not that long in ski time, maybe half and hour, but Gondola transfer and queuing, ~ would not like to guess. |

Austria, beer under 3Euros. Soll or Ellmau on the Schiwelt is a good shout. Under 2 hours from Munich, Salzburg and Innsbruck. 250km of skiing, and you can link with Kitsbuhle.

Saalbach Hinterglemm is well rated for boarders.
