It would be interesting to know if the snow would have taken a piste machine, but I can understand for the test conditions that was not practicable. The IDE system is an exciting prospect.
Many people do not realise that a lot of areas in the Alps would not have the skiing that they enjoy, were it not for artificial snow.
It was unfortunate that the Canadians did seem to have miscaculated, but the Russian group may well assist in bringing forward a skiing technical revolution.
The S/D web site gives last season price as 180 eu, and your 177 eu may be last season price, commission shared. This equates to £155. Assuming 5% cost rise, price may be 189 eu, £163.
A week prior to your departure, check the local price, convert with the euro rate at that time. If more expensive, buy your lift pass on the transfer bus.

Have seen the NL from my conservatory, 5/6 years ago. Also, one magic ride up a chairlift in Niederau in the afternoon. Also, when I was up in Lapland.
