Its what we did for our first ever holiday, and the mountains at Axamer Lizum are amazing. Although you stay in the village at Gotzens its a bit quiet but you are not far from Innsbruck, Seefeld, Igls if you fancy any-thing a bit livlier.

Hi and welcome to the mad house. Is this your first time skiing/boarding. Have a look on the Crystal website. They go to Axamer Lizum/Austria on an all inclusive package. This includes flights to Innsbruck (20mins transfer), transfers, full board hotel thats breakfast and vouchers for lunch on most of the mountain cafe's, 4 course dinner. It includes lift passes, weeks board/ski hire and a weeks lessons.

Well 2 weeks to go for us, we have had a weekend of sorting ski clothes. We are thinking we will have to take lots more base layers etc. Ruka is having a really cold spell at the moment its about -30 at the moment. We only experienced between -7 and -19 last year.

Nightmare for you. We have decided to mix and match our cases this year, just in case.

Well I will confess to meeting my Hubby on the internet. Something that if a friend or daughter of mine did I would not be best pleased. But 10 years down the line turns out to be the best thing I ever did. I did take all the safety things to heart, meet in mutual, public space, informed people where I was etc. :oops:
