All boarders were included in the spirit! You would of course ride a Magic Board.
OK, so the lyrics are complete, vastly improved during a workshop with Iain Mathews. I managed to keep in Tony's million miles, and Emma's chocolate, but not in a way she might benefit! I got very lucky with the score, as another player was drifting a riff, and it fitted my stuff, fairly well, just a few additions/changes. Had time also to finish off one written a year earlier. I'm now looking for a way to record with a couple of instruments, and, if succesful, will stick it on Youtube. I make no claims on either my playing or singing, but since skiing is my passion, it doesn't worry me to stick my neck out! I fully expect a few "Stick to skiing" comments, but that's OK! ) |

I agree Ian, I too moderate my skiing, now, in the interests of skiing longevity!
Oh Ian, this so lacks ambition! |

I can't speak for Coop, but, yes, you are right! |

I looked at the Bernkogel, and it would have been a strong contender. Beaten by a better offer in Hinterglemm. We would have been happy to stay there though. Our apres can be conditioned! At New Year, we are staying up a mountain!

Definitely not just you, Nelly. I have lost count of the number of times that I have used Innsbruck, but every time I use them, I am aware that doing so carries a greater risk of diversion. I have several rep skier friends, and bad Innsbruck weekends are a nightmare for them. It is made worse because from some departure points, several T/Os share one flight company ~ and in certain conditions, it cannot meet safe landing criteria when others can. It is a good one to use though, great views and close to the mountains. |

I agree the Bulgarian is not a full squat. The knee angle is close to 90 deg, and I go for a bit less than that. However, I do put some dynamics into the routine, roughly similar to the rhythm I might use when skiing short swings.
I was advised not to use weights, and given that the whole of my delicate 90kgms is going on a single leg bend, they are probably right! And what does "Oh well never mind" mean? We may have differing degrees of dodgyness! For a long time, due to successions of sports injuries, I have been unable to fully straighten or bend either leg. |

Aye, I ran a number of 50 mile fell races, for which the training meant doing routine 35/40 mile Sunday runs. After a few years of this, I switched to mainstream cross-country and track athletics. Later, changed to running marathons, starting with the second London marathon. Even now, I can still walk to the car, several times a day. ) |

Bandit, I checked this out, and it was an exercise that my physio, and sports scientist both specifically barred from my program. My prog is geared mainly to quads, and hence the single leg squats ~ but they don't need to be deep squats for skiers. Deep squats are great for weight lifters. These two ladies worked out a ski strength prog for me, to allow me to manage my dodgy knee, but allow me to continue to bring significant speed pressure into play. |
