Ski boots - hand baggage or checked in

I thought it was the airlines causing the problem? I took mine through security the other day and they were fine. :?

Or do you mean 'in the past in the past'? Well if you're gonna mess about with bits of carpet they probably thought they were a B.O.M.B.
  Dave I have no idea where to start or end with that one. You are officially as mad as a bag of frogs.

So Scapula you now have three options:-

1) Buy a new pair of boots
2) Buy some new footbeds
3) Find a stanley knife and a biro and get busy

I've got an idea. It's so simple it's freakin genius

Just don't tell them what's in the bag. Keep it a secret.

They never ask you to open bags on check in. Security don't give a rat's backside what's in there as long as it's not a weapon or a bomb. And they don't class ski boots as weapons otherwise everybody would be having the same experience, and it wouldn't be happening at the check in desk.
For those of you going to Niederau soon.....

In fact, I find it rather amusing to see German skiers in 20 year day glo outfits. Much more interesting that today's, mainly, drab black, red and grey pallete of colours for ski outfits!!!

OOOOOOOOH Wanderer is a closet rompersuiter. Show us a pic Wanderer go on  8)

'Fraid not Emma. I did have a romper suit for my first two ski trips nearly 20 years ago (in a rather awful olive green!). It was the cheapest thing I could find at the time. It had to go after letting me down on the slopes following a fall when the rear split. My fellow skischool classmates reckoned I was leaving a trail of polyester stuffing in my tracks that day! Not a pretty sight!!! Never wore one since and I don't think I have any pictorial evidence of that one - possibly destroyed to help me get over the trauma of that experience!!!

It still does not stop me "admiring" the cheesy seventies look of some skiers who still strut their stuff in such outfits!!!!

   Awesome!!
Scapula, if getting a new pair of boots it absolutely out of the question, I would personally look at buying some new footbeds and seeing if that made a difference. It would be a fraction of the price of completely new boots.

I do apologise to those reading, who may not have been party to a recent discussion. For the benefit of these readers I will take this opportunity to remind you what Brooksy considers 'normal'...

I should point out that the above photo is not actually of Brooksy. At least I don't think it is anyway :?

Nope :D

I can only imagine you are talking about Guinness, which can be used to combat many ailments. If you are actually suffering from black runs stay away from me. The end is nigh...
