Bournemouth does have good beaches, but nowadays you have to make your way through the tramps, wino's and addicts who seem to live on the beach. Or while you are down there they will break into your car. So I think its only fair we have our own little ski slope  |

My hubby loves snow sports as much as I do, but only talks about it about a month before we go, a month after and Jan/Feb when we decide and book on next years hols. He may buy the occasional bargain jacket/boots etc through the summer, but thats about it. Unlike me probably every single day.
This morning we did about two hours over the allotment, much too hot to do any-more. Our patch is at the top of the hill, he,s leaning on his spade, calls me over and says 'do you realise if we had snow here all down this hill, over the humps, sharp right, then sharp left and back down the gentle slope all the way to the gates, which are right out the front of our house, we could have our own ski-in ski-out'. Then he stuck me in the wheelbarrow and hurtled down the length of the 'slope', to prove it could be done. I have visions of next winter gardening in salopettes and ski boots, hurtling back down the hill home, no poles needed just a fork and spade in each hand. I can dream, just not sure if we will ever have enough snow here  |

My first ever car was a Morris Minor, called Bessie. Many, many years ago now. That was when about two quids worth of petrol would last all week. Those were the days.
