Buy what fits and what is comfortable. You can pay anywhere from £10 to £200. I have a Sweet Trooper and it is excellent. Had a Giro Fuse before that which isn't a patch on the Sweet. www.sweet.no

I am concerned that I have still not had chicken pox. Do many people go their whole life without?

Personally I would run on the side of caution and stick to the groomers, wouldn't want to be skiing crud having my knee twisted and torque-d all over the place.

I was in a ski shop the other day and there was a man clearly determined to buy a pair of skis, the salesman in the shop was holding them up beside him commenting that they would be a 'great size' and agreeing with the guy that they would be 'fantastic for ''shoosting'' '. The guy walked away without a pair of skis in his hands after looking determined to have a pair. Not once was it mentioned that maybe his weight might have had something to do with the ski choice (and IMO, the 2 pairs the guy was looking at were far too short).
The worst thing about it was that the guy in the shop was the owner, I reckon with a bit of basic ski knowledge he could have had a sale go through the till. Ever come across any really bad sales techniques? |

Aye, I am a bloke. I don't know a whole lot about skis that I haven't looked at for myself, I heard Rax skis are good, though. Did Tom from Austria ever post here? |
