The problem you have is going that late in the season you normally would have to go high for good snow but as you say your party are complete novices and most nursery slopes are lower down the mountains thus the channce of having OK conditions although not impossible are reduced, contact the likes of crystal ski and ask which resorts offer a ski school on the higher slopes otherwise you could find yourself stuck in the mud !!

Don't be to hung up on fitness levels just yet, only ski if you feel like doing so not because someone tells you to, once you've had enough call it a day before any accidents happen and have another go the next day

Forget the dry slopes try and go to an indoor slope with real snow you will learn some good tips for when you go away. Enjoy

A good way of telling which is your favoured foot is to stand up straight with your feet together, get somebody (without telling you when first) to push you from behind the foot you put out to stop you from falling over is your lead foot.

Class dismissed

Stay in Kaprun much better than Zell, take your first couple of runs on the Maiskogel to get you going before you head for the Kitzteinhorn, lots of aprei-ski and a great Italian in the village next to the petrol station.

Enjoy

Your Favourite Piece of Gear

Pair of gloves I bought about five years ago for a fiver I've no idea what the make is as there's no labels or logo's but they have been class, never made my hands sweat so the linings follow your fingers out and have worked down to -26c

On there last legs now but can't part with them, I'd love to stumble across more pairs I'd buy the lot 8)

firstly well done for being able to fit into the same gear as you could ten years ago, if i put my gear on from ten years ago i'd look like the only gay in the village !!

seriously though you can get a full outfit now including jacket sallopettes gloves etc etc for under a £100 so i wouldn't risk spoiling your holiday and feeling the affects of the weather instead of feeling what its like to be back on the slopes

Enjoy :D
who's got the answer ?

The reason why we have such different opinions on this subject is due to the lack of information from the IPCC who should and could give explanations to the variants were seeing

If there so sure about whats going to happen then why can't they understand what has happened, surely its easier to explain the past then to predict the future ? isn't it !!

In the space of twelve months we've gone from a December which resembled more like a July to a December which resembles more like a March and no body seems to know why :?:
