I think that for beginners it is nice to be able to go up the hill and back down in a cable car/ gondola to experience the beauty of the higher mountains.
So - what I mean is to go up for Lunch with the others sort of thing and leave skis behind. |

Somewhere with a decent sized glacier as a back stop.
I skied Tignes a couple of years ago last week in April and we had some good snow around. Limited runs open, icy and slushy and fresh powder and rain and sunshine and snow !!! |

At £80/£90 return the cost compares favourably with the more expensive extra baggage airlines.

I had never even heard of Niederau until I came on here some while ago.
One day I will ski there :) If I get to taking youngies again (which is so much fun) I would really consider the place. Don't think I would book Niederau for my one and only in a season - but I can see myself turning up for a few days or going if I have the right sort of people with me. There must be something great about the place! |

My Sister and Niece did Geneva to Courmayeur with a taxi transfer included in cost.
Said great for a few days but not enough for a week. |

Adders - please will you delete this thread as it is a serious threat to my health, wellbeing, marriage and bank balance!
Plus The Lout needs to kiss good bye to any thought of an inheritance. |
