The turn need not look ungracious. When coming round the turn, determine your change point, then check both knees in towards the hill ~ but do it smoothly. However you do it, the edging of the skis, will a) further brake your speed, b) present a platform for a edge release, allowing you to push the edges over on to the new turn.

Hi Moogy,
If you are an advanced skier, and are in Niederau, you can ski back to Oberau, near enough to walk 60 yards to the Kellerwirt.

That is a good point, TP. So on steeper terrain, when the speed increases, you need to complete each turn, so as to control the speed.

I reasoned that it is not the case that your cover is void with one beer. However, having three beers and skiing is the same as drink driving. It would be a criminal offence in Austria, should an accident ensue.
I am not being judgemental, that is not my style. It seems to me that you do not understand the situation. Last year, an Austrian state minister, skiied into a woman, and she died. He was an experienced skier, but lost control. Well, for a while, he also lost his liberty, together with a serious amount of money.

Yeeaaah, buuuut, you are not likely to suffer avalanche conditions in Albert Square!
