I have a rat on a string too OldAndy, she is 100% Chihuahua but thinks she is a great dane! That's small dogs for you.
My sons got a petition going before we got her because they thought she would be a useless lap dog, they all love her to bits now. And my eldest soon discovered that girls really want to talk to him if he is out with his Chihuahua! They think she is cute, best "pulling" dog apparently! |

Didn't hire companies used to make a bit of a fuss about taking their cars up mountains? Or have they accepted the inevitable now?
i.e. arrive Geneva with skis = likely to want to drive to ski resort = almost certain to be up a mountain!! |

If everyone buys those bags, how are we going to tell them apart at the airport?

To answer your questions:
No we weren't charged extra to put them in the hold. They would have had a riot on their hands if they had tried because the check in staff had happily let us through with them and there were laods of people in the same position as us. It was just the staff at the gate that were being difficult. I have managed to take them on board as hand luggage on some flights but it is not guaranteed. It seems to depend on the staff on the day. The security staff are completely separate from the airline staff and they operate different rules. They can probably tell the difference between a ski boot and an offensive weapon! |
