I have been to-day, really enjoyed it. Thanks Admin and thanks to my benefactor of the free tickets.
Found some useful information on Finland, loved the northern light experience and the huskies.
I could have spent a fortune on clothes but refrained, desperately saving for a second trip. Did manage to buy some Dakine ski mitts, they seem really warm.
This is the first time I have been to a ski show, would definately go again.

Personally I dont go in for those type of shows, its a bit like certain professions who think the only reason people break the law is because they didnt go on holiday as children!!!

I know what you mean, slightly different subject but about 10 years ago I had a serious car accident. Drunk driver, stolen car, no tax insurance or licence, hit me at 80MPH, did me a lot of damage. He had been banned six weeks previous for the same sort of thing but the nice judge said he should not have a prison sentence because of his troubled childhood and his drink and drugs problem. He should stay out of prison so he could attend AA and NA. Would have thought he could have done both of those in prison, and not been able to nick another car. He got his prison sentence after that one.

did you recover fully rose?

I still have a few neck problems especially if I overdo it, my teeth will never be the same, had to have loads of work on them, the impact shattered a lot of the roots. But the biggest problem of all is I do not drive any-more, completely lost my nerve.

i have to factor in all the clothes aswell!

So far I have....a jacket and 2 hats.

Im guessing il need (per person):

warm socks (2 pairs per day?)
waterproof trousers (how many sets would 1 do the week?)
stuff for your legs underneath (what do you guys use?)
thermal t shirt (again how many?)
thermal jumper (same as above)
jacket (1?)
goggles
hat (1?)
gloves (1?)

i guess the more trips you have the more clothes you have but whats the minimum you would advise for my first trip?

thanks all

Hi Sami, dont forget a decent pair of walking boots, timberland or hiking boots, it can be very slippery walking around resorts. I always take 2 jackets and 2 sallos, one set to ski and one set for everything else.
