Telemark looks so cool, I'd love to be able to do it. But do I want to spend my limited skiing time learning something new? I thought not, but revolutionski's comments on the speed of improvement, may make me think again.

Seeing a guy in Tignes come down the piste backwards on telemark skis at about 100mph is one of the coolest things I've ever witnessed. We all just stood a stared.

I've skied there but stayed in Morzine so don't have any knowledge on the apres ski.

That's quite restrained for the Mooservirt. St Anton is just a nutty place!

Still full octane Mooservirt is nothing compared to the Krazy Kangaroo just 100yards away!

And remember all of these people still have to ski back down in the dark...

The Tignes webcams look great too.

36cm on lower slopes, 100cm up high. Powder off piste.

Another 47cm forecast this week, temperatures staying cold.

75 out of 154 slopes open today, that's more than have been opening week in years.

12 days and counting!

It's not a choice between a camelbak and a log cabin. You are allowed to do both!

that's only true if you don't go anywhere actually cold :)

Well I didn't have any problems in -25c.
