I've just renewed my annual policy with insureandgo.com. It was only £72 for a family of 4 including winter sports, so we upgraded to platinum with no excess for £88. With the bronze package they only cover 17 days but with gold or platinum they cover 24.

Last year they paid out for my medical expenses, lift pass, ski hire and lessons - over 1100 euros if I remember rightly. This year they've told me I'm still 100% covered even for my knees. I think that's pretty good.

If it was, say, Johnny Depp I really don't think I'd complain  but, as much as I love him, I'm not sure I'd want to see Jack Black's flesh

I thought the skiworld was online? can you recommend an online place to get them? I am really looking at buying a cheap pair for the kids, hopefully I can pick them up for about £30 and sell them the year after when they are too small. I was even thinking ofjust buying a second hand pair off ebay or something like that. Do you think it is worth getting measured at a ski shop then looking online for a bargain? or am I just asking for trouble.

I had a giggle at some of the posts -
skidaddle I like your gay mode...that was funny.

I only ever hired my boots once and that was when i went with the school so i havent really got much experience about hiring. I must admit that when i bought my first pair of ski boots the difference between them and the hired boots were worlds apart.

I must admit that i have never worried about the toenails turning black but i am a bit concerned now. YOu know what kids are like when they get their shoes, they are fine when they leave the shop then they are killing them!.

I think the bronze package for 6 days for skis boots and poles for adult through skiworld was £54 i didnt think that was bad.

Sorry, I thought you mean skiworld as in the tour operator. £54 is a good price.

Ah, sorry, I thought you were being ironic

Does, "whose trousers fit" mean that your trousers fit, or that you are a pants boarder?
I was under the impression that boarders' needed baggy pants, a chunky studded belt and some southern cleavage on display :?:

Bandit,

Looking at some of your postings, in reply to Tino's, I think you would LIKE him to have his arse hanging out????!!!!!!!

MAybe just an impression though. )

like rossfra8? :D
cutting my toenails as short as possible is part of my preparation :D

Karen and davidmpires, try on as many boots as you like, it's such an important factor. You can change your boots and your skis as many times as you like so I'd start with the bronze and see how you feel Karen. I'd also say book online rather than go for the skiworld package, it's a LOT cheaper
